Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: 20 April 2026 | Last Updated: 20 April 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Dispatch, including the desktop application, our website and any Premium AI features we provide (together, "the Service"). Dispatch is operated by Ad Astra Computing Inc. ("we", "us", "our").

This AUP supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to follow this policy.

Scope

This AUP applies to everyone who uses Dispatch: individual users, Pro subscribers, Team organizations and anyone accessing the Service through an API token. It covers both the local desktop application and our Premium AI features, which route prompts to our AI services for inference.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service, and you may not use the Service to help others, to:

  • Violate the law. Engage in activity that is illegal in any jurisdiction where you or the recipients of your work are located, including violations of export controls, sanctions or anti-fraud laws.
  • Create malicious software or attack others. Generate, refine or deploy malware, ransomware, exploits or tooling intended to compromise systems, networks, accounts or devices you do not own or have written authorization to test.
  • Produce child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes minors, in any form, including synthetic, animated or text-based material.
  • Harass, threaten, defame or incite violence against any individual or group, or produce content that promotes hate based on protected characteristics.
  • Deceive or impersonate. Generate content designed to impersonate a real person, organization or public official without authorization; produce deepfakes intended to mislead; create forged documents, fake reviews, phishing content or disinformation.
  • Spam or scrape at scale. Send unsolicited bulk communications, farm content for SEO manipulation or scrape third-party services in violation of their terms.
  • Circumvent controls. Bypass, disable or interfere with rate limits, abuse filters, usage accounting, licensing or other technical protections in the Service.
  • Infringe intellectual property. Use the Service to reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from material you do not have the right to use.
  • Process personal data unlawfully, including biometric, health, children's or other sensitive data without a lawful basis and adequate safeguards.
  • Make safety-critical automated decisions without human review. Do not use the Service as the sole decision-maker for medical diagnosis or treatment, legal advice, employment, credit, housing, insurance or other decisions that materially affect a person's rights, safety, finances or livelihood. A qualified human must review outputs before they are acted on.
  • Develop weapons or operational instructions for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive weapons, or to target critical infrastructure.

This list is not exhaustive. We may update it as new misuse patterns emerge.

Third-Party Provider Compliance

Dispatch orchestrates AI coding CLIs that you install and authenticate yourself (including Anthropic Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Google Gemini CLI). When you route work through these tools, you are also bound by each provider's terms and usage policies:

Any use of the Service that violates an upstream provider's terms is also a violation of this AUP. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the policies of every provider you connect.

Security

You may not:

  • Probe, scan or attack the Service, our infrastructure or our vendors' infrastructure
  • Attempt to access accounts, API tokens, projects or data that do not belong to you
  • Deliberately introduce code, prompts or payloads designed to destabilize, exfiltrate data from or manipulate the Service or other users
  • Reverse engineer the Service except where expressly permitted by your license

Report vulnerabilities to [email protected]. We appreciate good-faith research and will not pursue legal action against researchers who follow responsible disclosure.

Fair Use of Premium AI Features

Premium AI features are designed for human-in-the-loop software development. You agree to use them reasonably and in line with the intended product experience. Specifically, you may not:

  • Run fully autonomous, high-volume generation intended for resale, content farms or credential-recycling workflows
  • Use outputs from our AI services to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine learning models that compete with Dispatch or with our upstream providers
  • Share a single Pro seat across multiple individuals, or otherwise circumvent per-seat licensing
  • Submit artificially inflated, automated or synthetic traffic designed to exhaust shared capacity

We reserve the right to apply reasonable usage limits, throttling or review to protect the Service for all users.

Reporting Abuse

If you believe someone is using Dispatch in violation of this AUP, contact us at [email protected]. Please include enough detail for us to investigate: the account or organization name if known, a description of the conduct and any supporting evidence. We treat reports confidentially where we can.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and, at our discretion, take any action we consider appropriate, including:

  • Issuing a warning or requesting remediation
  • Throttling or temporarily suspending access to the Service or to Premium AI features
  • Terminating accounts, API tokens or organization subscriptions
  • Removing content from our infrastructure where we host it
  • Cooperating with law enforcement or regulators where legally required

Severe violations, including CSAM, credible threats of harm, attacks on the Service or clearly illegal activity, may result in immediate termination without prior notice. Fees may be refunded, withheld or forfeited in accordance with the Terms of Service.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the release changelog and reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
